The University Grants Commission (UGC) on November 17, 2025, issued the notification regarding the Launch of the Tobacco Free Youth Campaign 3.0 (TFYC 3.0).
The following has been stated namely: -
• TFYC 3.0 aims to actively engage heads of Higher Education Institutions in ensuring the successful implementation of the campaign, in line with the TFYC guidelines
• States/UTs are to encourage all educational institutions under your jurisdiction to reaffirm their commitment towards implementing the Guidelines for Tobacco Free Educational Institutions (ToFEI)
• All Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) are requested to actively promote the TFYC 3.0 initiative, with the goal of creating a tobacco-free environment
