The Ministry of Information & Broadcasting on November 18, 2025, issued an advisory to all private satellite TV channels regarding tthe elecast of sensitive content.
The following has been stated:
It has advised news channels against airing content that justifies violence or shares information on making explosives, particularly relating to the alleged Red Fort blast accused. Such broadcasts may threaten public order and national security. Channels must strictly follow the Programme and Advertising Code under the Cable Television Networks (Regulation) Act, 1995—especially rules prohibiting obscene, false, inflammatory, violence-inciting, or anti-national content. Broadcasters are advised to avoid visuals or information that could support or promote unlawful activities.
