Industry Specific ComplianceThe Department of Telecommunications (DoT) on November 21, 2025, issued an Amendment/ Clarification to the existing KYC instructions.

The following has been stated: -

•The DoT has issued amendments/clarifications after finding deviations in D-KYC/e-KYC implementation during process audits.

•Optional QR-code auto-population from PoI/PoA is clarified, while the mandatory Aadhaar QR auto-population requirement (para 4 of August 31, 2023) is deleted due to integration issues.

•A cap of two mobile connections per subscriber per day through D-KYC is now mandated regardless of documents, and capturing network-determined location is removed.

•Only the customer’s name from UIDAI will be visible (non-editable) to PoS, and the Unique PoS ID must be uniformly captured across all documents and systems; compliance required within one month.
