The Government of Chhattisgarh, on November 20, 2025, issued a notification regarding the exemption of tax on Liquor under the Chhattisgarh VAT Act.
The following has been stated: -
•The Chhattisgarh Government, using its authority under Section 15-B of the Chhattisgarh Value Added Tax Act, 2005, has granted a tax exemption for the period April 01, 2025, to March 31, 2026.
•This exemption applies to foreign liquor and Indian-made foreign liquor sold through dealers holding an FL-10 license.
•The notification provides a full exemption from tax under Section 8 for these specified goods.
