The Government of Andhra Pradesh, on November 22, 2025, issued the Draft Andhra Pradesh Factories (Safety Audit) Rules, 2025.
The following has been stated: -
•The Andhra Pradesh Factories (Safety Audit) Rules, 2025 mandate third-party safety audits for factories involving hazardous processes, dangerous operations, or large workforces.
•Occupiers must conduct periodic external audits (12–24 months) and internal audits, and submit compliance reports within set timelines. Audit scope must meet IS 14489:2018 standards, and authorities may issue improvement notices requiring corrective action. If an audit is inadequate, authorities may order a re-audit within 30 days.
Objections or suggestions may be submitted within 45 days from November 22, 2025.
