The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) on November 07, 2025, issued extension in time lines for switchover to 10-digit licence number from Automotive Tyre and Tube industry.
The circular regarding extension of the last date of implementation of switchover to of switchover to 10 digit licence number for tyres as per IS 15627, IS 15633 and IS 15636 and tubes as per IS 13098 is attached. This issues with the approval of the Competent Authority.
All Branch Offices are requested to inform the same to the Licensees/Applicants under their jurisdiction and ensure the implementation of switchover by September 06, 2028.
