class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">The Department of Fire and Emergency Services, Government of West Bengal, on October 14, 2025, notified regarding the Waiver of Fire Report Fees for Residential, School, and Government Buildings.
The following amendments have been stated:
• It states that in older notification no. 525/DS/FS/O/C-1/F-1A-3/96 (Part-I1) dated 02/09/2003 of this Department, the Department had prescribed, the following fees which was to be deposited in T.R. Form No. 7 in the appropriate head of account, for furnishing copies of the reports to a fire assurance company or other interested person:-
• a) In case of residential building - Rs. 500/- per copy;
• b) In case of other classes of buildings and properties - Rs. 1000/- per coру.
• Now, after careful consideration, in exercise of the power conferred by sub-section (2) of Section 8 of the West Bengal Fire Services Act, 1950 (West Bengal Act XVIII of 1950), and in partial modification of Notification No. 525/DS/FS/O/C-1/F-1A-3/96 (Part-II) dated 02/09/2003 of this Department, the Governor is pleased to waive the Fire Report fees for Residential buildings, School buildings and Government buildings, while the Fire Report fees for the other classes of buildings & properties will continue as of present.
