The NPCI BHIM Services Limited (NPCI) on November 25, 2025, announced the launch of UPI Circle Full Delegation on the BHIM Payments App, enabling users to authorise trusted contacts to make UPI payments within a preset monthly limit. This feature enhances shared financial management by allowing a primary user to delegate payment rights while retaining complete transparency and oversight.
Under this new functionality, users can set a spending limit of up to ₹15,000 per month and an expiry duration of up to five years for the delegated user. The feature supports various use cases, including empowering senior citizens, young adults, household dependents, and staff members, promoting secure and inclusive digital payments without requiring the secondary user to have their own bank-linked UPI ID or bank account.
The update is available in the latest version of the BHIM Payments App and comes alongside enhancements such as family mode, spend analytics, and split expenses. The initiative strengthens BHIM’s mission of offering a reliable and user-friendly digital payments ecosystem in support of India’s digital transformation.
