The Ministry of Textiles, on November 27, 2025, issued a notification regarding the approval of the Tex-RAMPS Scheme.
The following has been stated: -
•The Government of India has approved the Tex-RAMPS Scheme with an outlay of ₹305 crore for FY 2025-26 to FY 2030-31 as a Central Sector Scheme under the Ministry of Textiles.
•The scheme aims to strengthen India’s textiles and apparel ecosystem by promoting advanced research, innovation, real-time data systems (ITSS), capacity development, and start-up support.
•It focuses on smart textiles, sustainability, supply-chain mapping, India-Size study, and fostering collaboration between industry, academia, and states.
•Overall, Tex-RAMPS is designed to enhance global competitiveness, enable data-driven policymaking, create employment, and build a future-ready textile ecosystem.
