The Ministry of Ayush on November 26, 2025, notified regarding the launch of SIDDHI 2.0 to strengthen research-driven innovation in the Ayurveda pharma sector.
The following has been stated namely: -
• SIDDHI 2.0 is launched as a national “industry-research interface” platform to accelerate evidence-based development of Ayurvedic products, bringing together industry, academia, and regulators.
• The initiative aims to boost the scientific, regulatory, quality, and global competitiveness aspects of Ayurveda by promoting research-led product development, technology adoption, and industry partnerships.
• As part of the launch, CCRAS released a medico-historical book on the evolution of Ayurveda, Siddha & Unani drug regulations, and inaugurated a “Drug Inventory Management System” portal to improve drug regulation and traceability.
• CCRAS highlighted that over 150 Ayurvedic formulations have already been clinically validated; industry players are encouraged to leverage this data for safe, quality-driven manufacturing and to register Intellectual Property Rights under a fair-sharing policy jointly.
• The conclave underlined that as lifestyle diseases increase, Ayurveda’s wellness-centric preventive & integrative approach has renewed relevance — SIDDHI 2.0 is positioned as a key step to modernize Ayurvedic healthcare through scientific innovation.
