The Government of Odisha, on August 01, 2025, notified regarding the second amendment of Odisha Semiconductor Manufacturing & Fabless Policy 2023 (amended in July 2025).
The following has been stated namely: -
• Existing Clause:- Production Linked Incentives (PLI):- Units can avail Production Linked Incentive (PLI)@1% of Net Sales Turnover (Grass Sales Turnover - Credit Notes (raised for any purpose) Discounts (including but not limited to cash, volume, turnover, target, or for any other purpose)- applicable taxes) starting from the year of commencement of production, for 5 years subject to eligibility conditions to be notified later.
Further, PLI benefits can be availed for any contiguous 5-year period within a window of 7 years starting from the year of commencement of production subject to fulfilment of conditions to be notified later.
• Proposed revised/New Clause:- Production Linked Incentives (PLI):- -Units can avail Production Linked Incentive (PLI) at a reducing rate of 5% in year 1, 4% in year 2, 3% in year 3, 2% in year 4 and 1% in year 5 of Net Sales Turnover (Gross Sales Turnover Credit Notes (raised for any purpose) Discounts (including but not limited to cash, volume, turnover, target, or for any other purpose) applicable taxes) starting from the year of commencement of production, for 5 years subject to eligibility conditions to be notified later.
Further, PLI benefits can be availed for any contiguous 5-year period within a window of 7 years starting from the year of commencement of production subject to fulfilment of conditions to be notified later.
