The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) on November 28, 2025, issued a notification to amend Notification No. 36/2001-Customs (N.T.), dated August 03, 2001, related to Crude Palm Oil, RBD Palm Oil, Brass Scrap (all grades) and Gold & Silver.
The following have been amended namely: -
• Table 1 specifies the Tariff value (US $Per Metric Tonne) of the Crude Palm Oil, RBD Palm Oil, and Crude Palmolein has been amended.
• Table 2 specifiesTariff value (US $) of the Gold, Silver has been amended.
• Table 3 specifiesTariff value (US $ Per Metric Ton) of the Areca nuts has been amended.
This notification shall come into force with effect from November 29, 2025.
