The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) on November 20, 2025, issued the notification regarding the amendment to Para 2.08 of the Handbook of Procedures.
The following has been stated namely: -
• ANF-1A has been discontinued, and its required details are now fully incorporated into the revised ANF-2A.
• Para 2.08(c) of the Handbook of Procedures (HBP) 2023 is amended to specify that IEC application details will now be validated through online integration.
• The revised text clarifies that applicants must submit IEC-related details online, while post-verification of online IECs will be carried out as per guidelines issued by DGFT.
• Guidelines for post-verification of Online IECs will be issued periodically by DGFT Headquarters, and the earlier clauses Para 2.08(c)(i) and 2.08(c)(ii) remain unchanged.
• ANF-1A is merged into ANF-2A, and amendments to Para 2.08 and 2.08(d) aim to enable electronic verification of IEC application details.
This is applicable from November 20, 2025.
