The Government of Madhya Pradesh, on November 11, 2025, issued a notification regarding amendments to the Madhya Pradesh Biological Diversity Rules, 2004.
The following has been stated: -
• Rule 9 has been substituted and specifies the appointment of six ex officio members and one special invitee. These members will be drawn from key state departments, including Agriculture, Forest, Rural Development, and Tribal Affairs. The Vice Chancellor of Jawaharlal Nehru Agricultural University and the Member Secretary of the State Biodiversity Board are included. The Finance Department’s Additional/Principal Secretary will serve as the special invitee member.
