Industry Specific ComplianceThe Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on November 28, 2025, issued the Reserve Bank of India (All India Financial Institutions – Credit Information Reporting) Directions, 2025.

The following has been stated namely: -

• It aims to establish a unified and transparent framework for credit data reporting by All India Financial Institutions (AIFIs) such as EXIM Bank, NABARD, SIDBI, NHB, and NaBFID. It states that these institutions shall furnish accurate and updated credit information to all registered Credit Information Companies (CICs) while ensuring confidentiality and data integrity.

• The direction mandates standardized data formats, regular quality reviews, and timely correction of rejected or inaccurate data.

• It strengthens customer grievance redressal mechanisms and introduces a compensation framework for delays in resolving credit report errors.

• Additionally, it emphasizes fair treatment for first-time borrowers and small groups like SHGs, and repeals previous guidelines to create a comprehensive and updated regulatory structure.

• This shall come into force from November 28, 2025.
