Secretarial ComplianceThe National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Limited (NCDEX), through its circular dated December 01, 2025, has announced the re-triggering of the Event-based Additional Surveillance Margin (E-ASM) based on High–Low price variation parameters. An E-ASM of 2.5% will now apply to all running and yet-to-be-launched Coriander contracts until December 22, 2025.

The Exchange clarified that this action is in continuation of earlier circulars issued in 2019, 2020, and 2021, prescribing E-ASM for select commodities. For the current period, only Coriander has met the stipulated volatility trigger, while Turmeric continues to remain under E-ASM till December 05, 2025, and no triggers were observed for other commodities such as Barley, Castor Seed, Guar Gum, Guar Seed, and Jeera.

All other applicable margins will continue unchanged. This measure aims to strengthen market stability and safeguard participants from excessive price volatility.
