The National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA) on November 26, 2025, computed the retail price under Para 5 of the Drugs (Prices Control) Order, 2013, for a paediatric formulation where each 5 ml contains Mefenamic Acid IP 50 mg + Paracetamol IP 125 mg. The price fixation pertains to M/s East African (I) Overseas (Manufacturer) and M/s SRK Puremed LLP (Marketer), based on April 2025 MAT data.
NPPA’s computation led to a worked-out retail price of ₹0.77 (excluding GST) per unit against the claim price of ₹0.89 (excluding GST) submitted by the applicant. After examining the data and applying the methodology prescribed under Para 5 of DPCO, 2013, NPPA has retained the worked-out figure as the basis for determining the final retail price.
Accordingly, the proposed retail price has been fixed at ₹0.77 (excluding GST) for the said fixed-dose combination, which will serve as the applicable retail price for the concerned manufacturers/marketers in compliance with DPCO, 2013 provisions.
