The Government of Manipur on November 24, 2025, issued the list of holidays for the year 2026.
The following has been stated namely: -
• The days specified in the Annexure-I will be observed as "General Holidays"
• All Government employees will be authorized to avail 2 (two) "Restricted Holidays" out of those mentioned in the Annexure-II.
• The Festival of Kang (Rathajatra) of the Annexure-I, may be replaced in respect of the Hill Districts and the Manipur Bhawans, Kolkata, Delhi and Guwahati by Holidays of local importance after taking prior approval of the Government by January 31, 2026.
• The days specified in the Annexure-III as "Public Holidays" for the year, 2026 in Manipur.
