The Government of Madhya Pradesh on October 23, 2025, issued the notification regarding the Voluntary Aadhaar Authentication for Beneficiary Verification on Samagra Portal
The following has been stated namely: -
• Aadhaar use facilitates faster and seamless delivery of government subsidies, benefits, and services, reducing the need for multiple identity documents and improving transparency and efficiency.
• The Government of India (MeitY), after consulting UIDAI, permitted the Government of Madhya Pradesh / MPSEDC to perform Aadhaar authentication under the 2020 Aadhaar Authentication for Good Governance Rules.
• Aadhaar authentication will be used voluntarily on the Samagra Portal for beneficiary registration and verification for various government schemes listed in Annexure-1.
• The concerned department must obtain explicit consent from Aadhaar holders before authentication and ensure that authentication is not mandatory.
• If an individual opts out of Aadhaar authentication, the department must accept alternative identification documents, such as EPIC, ration card, caste/domicile certificate, passport, or Class 10/12-mark sheet, and no service may be denied for refusal to authenticate via Aadhaar.
