Industry Specific ComplianceThe Government of Madhya Pradesh on October 23, 2025, issued the notification regarding the Voluntary Aadhaar Authentication for Beneficiary Verification on Samagra Portal

The following has been stated namely: -

• Aadhaar use facilitates faster and seamless delivery of government subsidies, benefits, and services, reducing the need for multiple identity documents and improving transparency and efficiency.

• The Government of India (MeitY), after consulting UIDAI, permitted the Government of Madhya Pradesh / MPSEDC to perform Aadhaar authentication under the 2020 Aadhaar Authentication for Good Governance Rules.

• Aadhaar authentication will be used voluntarily on the Samagra Portal for beneficiary registration and verification for various government schemes listed in Annexure-1.

• The concerned department must obtain explicit consent from Aadhaar holders before authentication and ensure that authentication is not mandatory.

• If an individual opts out of Aadhaar authentication, the department must accept alternative identification documents, such as EPIC, ration card, caste/domicile certificate, passport, or Class 10/12-mark sheet, and no service may be denied for refusal to authenticate via Aadhaar.

This shall come into force on October 23, 2025.
