The Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC), on December 01, 2025, Draft Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (Terms and Conditions of Tariff) (Second Amendment) Regulations, 2025.
• In Regulation 2, after clause (2), the following new clause (2a) shall be inserted, namely:— “(2a) These regulations shall also apply in all cases where the coal or lignite or gasbased generating station or inter-state transmission system, installs for storage and supply of electricity from the integrated energy storage system, for the use of the beneficiaries or the designated ISTS customers, as the case may be, whose tariff is required to be determined by the Commission under section 62 of the Act read with section 79 thereof.”
• The views/ comments/ suggestions/ objections may be sent (1 hard copy + soft copy) to the Secretary, Central Electricity Regulatory Commission, 7th Floor, Tower B, World Trade Centre, Nauroji Nagar, New Delhi- 110029 or may be mailed to [email protected] and [email protected].
• Last date for submission of the comments/suggestions/objections is December 30, 2025. Public hearing will be held on January 02, 2026, through video conference for oral submissions. Confirmation of participation in the hearing would be greatly appreciated. The link for the public hearing will be uploaded to the website separately before the public hearing. Please send intimation by mail to above mentioned email addresses if you/your organization proposes to make a presentation during the hearing. The presentation may be planned to be limited to a duration of 5-10 minutes and be covered in not more than 8 to 10 slides. An advance copy of the presentation may be forwarded to the above-mentioned emails by January 01, 2026.
