The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) on November 25, 2025, issued the date of establishment and withdrawal of certain Indian Standards (IS).
The following IS have been established on November 17, 2025 namely: -
• IS 14970 : 2025 ISO 3379 : 2024 Leather — Determination of Distension and Strength of Surface (Ball Burst Method) (First Revision)
• IS 14976 : 2025 IEC 61315 : 2019 Calibration of Fibre-Optic Power Meters (Second Revision)
• IS 17900 (Part 7/Sec 4) : 2025 Lifts for the Transport of Persons and Goods Part 7 Lifts for Special Applications Section 4 Requirements of Lifts for Persons with Disabilities
• IS/IEC 61649 : 2008 Weibull Analysis
The following IS has been withdrawn on May 17, 2026 namely: -

• IS 14976 : 2012 IEC 61315 : 2005 Calibration of Fibre-Optic Power Meters (First Revision)
