Industry Specific ComplianceThe Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoS&PI) on December 01, 2025, notified regarding India's Index of Industrial Production to register 0.4% growth in October 2025.

The following has been stated namely: -

• The overall Industry Production (IIP) growth for October 2025 was just +0.4%, a sharp slowdown compared to +4.0% in September — mainly due to fewer working days during festivals.

• By sector: Mining fell by 1.8%, Manufacturing grew by 1.8%, and Electricity output dropped by 6.9% in October.

• Among major manufacturing sub-sectors, the top contributors to growth were basic metals (+6.6%), coke & refined petroleum products (+6.2%), and motor vehicles & parts (+5.8%) — while 14 of 23 sub-sectors saw contraction or weak growth.

• On a use-based classification: Infrastructure/Construction goods (+7.1%), Intermediate goods (+0.9%), and Capital goods (+2.4%) showed growth, but Primary goods (–0.6%), Consumer durables (–0.5%), and Consumer non-durables (–4.4%) declined.

• The IIP index for October 2025 stood at 150.9, slightly above the previous year’s 150.3; however, the modest overall growth signals industrial activity remains sluggish and vulnerable to external headwinds.
