Secretarial ComplianceThe National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Limited (NCDEX) on December 02, 2025, issued the applicability of Event based Additional Surveillance Margin (E-ASM).

The Exchange, referring to its earlier surveillance circulars issued between 2019 and 2021 on the implementation of Event-based Additional Surveillance Margin (E-ASM), has announced a fresh application of E-ASM based on recent price volatility in specific commodities. Using the prescribed High–Low variation formula, E-ASM of 2.5% has been re-triggered for Coriander and will apply to all running and forthcoming contracts until December 23, 2025.

The circular further provides the trigger dates and applicability period of E-ASM across commodities. For the current review, only Coriander shows both 5-day (10%) and 10-day (15%) volatility triggers on December 02, 2025, while Turmeric remains under applicability until December 05, 2025. Other listed commodities—Barley, Castor Seed, Guar Gum, Guar Seed, and Jeera—have no active E-ASM triggers during this period.
