The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on November 28, 2025, issued the Reserve Bank of India (Non-Banking Financial Companies- Credit Facilities) Directions, 2025.
The following has been stated namely: -
• The provisions of these directions shall apply to Non-Banking Finance Companies excluding Housing Finance Companies (HFCs).
• The NBFC shall put in place Board approved policies covering, inter alia, the areas specified below. The specific aspects to be addressed in these policies are detailed in the relevant paragraphs of this Directions.
o Digital Lending including DLG
o Lending Against Gold and Silver Collateral
o Microfinance Loans
o Project Finance
o Demand/Call Loans
o Housing Finance
• The Digital Lending has been stated in the Directions
• The Lending against Gold and Silver Collateral has been stated in the Directions.
