The Reserve Bank of India (RBI), on November 28, 2025, issued the Reserve Bank of India (Rural Co-operative Banks – Governance) Directions, 2025.
The following has been stated:-
• Chapter II, which states, “Constitution of Board and Appointment of Directors”
• The directors of an RCB should be knowledgeable and persons of high integrity. They must function cohesively and provide leadership for the smooth and efficient management of the affairs of the RCB.
