NCDEX Introduction of Liquidity Enhancement Scheme for MAIZE Futures

Secretarial ComplianceThe National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Limited (NCDEX), on December 03, 2025, announced the launch of a Liquidity Enhancement Scheme (LES) for Maize – Feed/Industrial Grade (Symbol: MAIZE) futures contracts. The initiative is issued pursuant to SEBI’s Master Circular dated August 04, 2023, which provides the regulatory framework for introducing LES in the commodity derivatives segment.

Under the scheme, NCDEX invites applications from interested members to act as Designated Market Makers (DMMs) for the MAIZE futures contracts. Bids may be submitted between December 04–08, 2025, in the prescribed format, and will be evaluated using the grading criteria specified in Annexure I. Successful bidders will be appointed as DMMs for the duration of the scheme, subject to compliance with all obligations.

NCDEX has also provided the required bid submission format in Annexure II, and reserves the right to modify or discontinue the scheme with 15 days’ advance notice. The Exchange aims to enhance liquidity, promote active participation, and support market development in maize futures under this LES.
