EHS ComplianceThe Rajasthan State Pollution Control Board (RSPCB) on November 17, 2025, issued revised Guidelines on Plantation Requirements for EC-Approved Projects.

The Rajasthan State Pollution Control Board (RSPCB) has revised its approach to plantation-related requirements for projects with valid Environmental Clearance (EC). All previous directions on mandatory plantation stand superseded. RSPCB will now include a general condition in its Consent/Authorization orders requiring full compliance with EC conditions, and will no longer impose separate plantation conditions if they are already covered in the EC. This applies to all project categories, including Building and Infrastructure projects.

For Industrial Areas requiring EC, plantation obligations will be assessed for the area as a whole. The area developer is responsible for implementing plantation as per the EC or approved plan. Alternatively, the developer may deposit the plantation cost with the Forest Department’s SFDA account and recover proportionate costs from units during plot allotment.

Regional Officers and Group-In-Charges are directed to ensure effective implementation of these revised provisions.
