The National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Limited (NCDEX) on December 04, 2025, issued update on Event-Based Additional Surveillance Margin (E-ASM).
NCDEX has reviewed earlier surveillance circulars issued between 2019 and 2021 regarding the imposition of Event-based Additional Surveillance Margin (E-ASM) on select commodities. As per the established framework, E-ASM is re-triggered based on significant High–Low price variation.
Considering the recent price movement in Coriander, where the High–Low variation met the trigger criteria, an E-ASM of 2.5% has been re-imposed. This margin will apply to all running and yet-to-be-launched Coriander contracts till December 26, 2025.
The updated E-ASM trigger and applicability table indicates that only Coriander and Turmeric currently meet the movement thresholds, with Turmeric’s applicability continuing till December 05, 2025. All other margins remain applicable as usual.
