The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on November 28, 2025, issued the Reserve Bank of India (Housing Finance Company) Directions, 2025.
The following has been stated namely: -
• These Directions (except directions contained in paragraphs 200 to 205) shall be applicable to Housing Finance Companies registered under Section 29 A of the NHB Act, 1987.
The Directions contained in paragraphs 200 to 205 shall be applicable to auditors of HFCs
• The Prudential Regulation - Asset Classification and Provisioning has been stated in the Direction
• The Prudential Regulation- Regulatory Restrictions and Limits has been stated in the Direction.
This shall come into force on November 28, 2025
