The Government of Karnataka on December 05, 2025, issued the notification regarding the compulsory payment of contribution to the Karnataka Labour Welfare Fund under the Karnataka Labour Welfare Fund Act, 1965.
The following has been stated namely: -
• All commercial/ITBT establishments employing 50 or more workers, charitable trust/organizations and all the societies registered are required to pay welfare fund online compulsorily.
• They are required to compulsorily pay the contribution related to the 2025 calendar year to the Karnataka Workers' Welfare Fund online by January 15, 2026.
• Delay in payment of Contributions will attract penal interest at the rate of 12% for first 3 months and after 3 months 18% on the amount due.
