The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on November 28, 2025, issued the Reserve Bank of India (Mortgage Guarantee Companies) Directions, 2025.
The following has been stated namely: -
• These Directions shall be applicable to Mortgage Guarantee Companies (MGC) which has been granted Certificate of Registration under the scheme of Registration of Mortgage Guarantee Companies by the Reserve Bank of India
• The regulations regarding the Corporate Governance has been stated in the Direction
• The regulations regarding the Prudential Regulations has been stated in the Direction.
This shall come into force on November 28, 2025
