The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on November 28, 2025, issued the Reserve Bank of India (Credit Information Companies – Managing Risks in Outsourcing) Directions, 2025.
The following has been stated namely: -
• These Directions shall be applicable to Credit Information Companies as defined under clause (e) of Section 2 of the Credit Information Companies (Regulation) Act, 2005, hereinafter collectively referred to as ‘CICs’ and individually as a ‘CIC’
• The Role of the Board has been stated in the Direction
• The Outsourcing of Information Technology (IT) Services has been stated in the Direction.
This shall come into force on November 28, 2025
