The Ministry of Textiles (MoT) on December 05, 2025, notified regarding the participation of MSMEs in the PLI Scheme for Traditional Textiles.
The following has been stated namely: -
• The government has expanded and eased the PLI scheme for textiles by reducing investment and turnover eligibility criteria, removing the requirement for new company formation, and widening the product scope to boost MSME participation and industry growth.
• As of September 2025, approved companies have achieved ₹7,290 crore in turnover and ₹733 crore in exports. Alongside this, the Samarth Scheme continues to support skill development, and initiatives like EPC support and the Bharat Tex event aim to strengthen India’s global textile competitiveness.
