The Rajasthan State Pollution Control Board (RSPCB) notified on July 29, 2025, regarding updated timelines for Consent and Authorization Processing to Promote Ease of Doing Business.
The following has been stated namely: -
• It prescribes updated disposal timelines for applications related to Consent to Establish (CTE), Consent to Operate (CTO), and authorizations under the Water Act, Air Act, Hazardous Waste Rules, and Biomedical Waste Rules. The new timelines supersede the earlier order dated February 6, 2023, and aim to ensure faster clearances and improved compliance, thereby supporting Ease of Doing Business initiatives.
• Processing periods now vary by industry category and investment size—for example, renewal of CTO applications and green-category units may be completed within 21 days, while large red/orange-category CTE/CTO applications may take 45–60 days.
• Auto-renewal provisions apply to fully compliant units, and applications exceeding timelines require documented justification and approval from the Member Secretary.
