The Rajasthan State Pollution Control Board (RSPCB) on July 22, 2025, issued the notification regarding the Clarification on One-Time Consent and Authorization Validity for Small Health Care Facilities
The following has been stated namely: -
• All Health Care Facilities (HCFs) must obtain Consent to Establish (CTE) and Consent to Operate (CTO) under the Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981, along with authorization under the Biomedical Waste Management Rules, 2016.
• Non-bedded HCFs and HCFs up to 10 beds are required to obtain a one-time Consent to Operate, with no separate fees for BMW authorization; accordingly, the State Board has been granting one-time CTO and authorization to such facilities.
• For small HCFs (non-bedded and up to 10 beds) that were mistakenly issued 5-year validity consents/authorizations after May 26, 2016, these approvals shall now be treated as valid indefinitely, unless the facility increases bed capacity or changes its services.
