The Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI) on December 04, 2025, issued regarding the FPO Empowerment Scheme.
The following has been stated namely: -
• PMKSY is a central sector scheme open to applicants across India, including Hazaribagh and Koderma districts, through the Expression of Interest (EoI) process, with no state-wise allocation of funds.
• FPOs receive enhanced grants-in-aid, including 50% subsidy (vs. 35% for general applicants) and 70% subsidy under the Food Safety & Quality Assurance Infrastructure scheme (vs. 50% for general applicants).
• FPOs benefit from lower equity contribution (10% vs. 20%), lower loan requirement (10% vs. 20%), and reduced net-worth requirement (equal to the grant amount vs. 1.5× for general applicants).
