EHS ComplianceThe Government of Kerala, on October 10, 2025, issued the Guidelines for E-Waste Collection Drive.

These guidelines are issued by the Local Self Government Department (LSGD), Kerala, for conducting organized e-waste collection drives across urban local bodies (ULBs).

The objective of the guidelines are as stated:

• Aims to ensure scientific collection and disposal of e-waste (like old mobiles, chargers, bulbs, batteries etc.) to prevent harmful disposal into land & water.

• Mandates biannual collection drives under the "Harithakarma Sena" (Green Task Force).

• Residents to be informed about the type of e-waste, segregated collection, and scheduled pickup dates.

• Instructions to be implemented at the LSGI level:- 

• Coordination with Organisations:- Social organisations, trade and business associations, residents’ associations, and other community-level organisations shall be engaged for social mobilisation, awareness, and organisation of e-waste collection activities.
