Industry Specific ComplianceThe Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA), on December 06, 2025, notified regarding the Temporary Maximum Fare Limits for Domestic Scheduled Airlines.

The following has been stated namely:-

• It states that the temporary maximum fare limits on domestic scheduled airlines follow significant disruptions in flight operations of one scheduled airline, which caused cancellations, reduced capacity, and unreasonable fare surges.

• In public interest, the government has capped economy-class fares based on stage length: ₹7,500 for up to 500 km, ₹12,000 for 500–1000 km, ₹15,000 for 1000–1500 km, and ₹18,000 for above 1500 km, excluding UDF, PSF, and taxes.

• The limits do not apply to business class or RCS UDAN flights. The order also requires airlines to follow these caps for all booking channels, maintain sufficient ticket availability across fare buckets, and consider capacity enhancement on high-demand routes until conditions stabilize or the government issues further directions.
