The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), on December 09, 2025, notified regarding the Levy of annual maintenance charges for Dormant mandates-Update.
The following has been stated namely: -
• Members are requested to note that mandates which have been registered by them on behalf of their clients on BSE StAR MF platform may be dormant as per the conditions stipulated in the NPCI circular (enclosed as Annexure 2), resulting in dormancy charges levied by NPCI.
• In this regard, the Exchange is pleased to inform that a new facility has been enabled in Member login, providing dormant mandate data as per the path provided below:
• Path: - Admin >> Admin Reports >>Mandate Reports >>Dormant Mandate Details report
• Members are advised to review the existing mandates on a priority basis and cancel the dormant mandates that are not in use, to avoid getting charged for dormant mandates. In the event that necessary action has not been initiated by respective Members, Exchange shall take appropriate measures, which may include deactivation of mandates and levy of dormancy charges. Further, Members are advised to keep monitoring the dormant mandate data on a continuous basis for additions to dormant mandates as per the conditions stipulated in the NPCI circular to ensure against resultant enhancement to NPCI charges.
