Industry Specific ComplianceThe Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA) on December 07, 2025, notified regarding the Swift Restoration of Airline Operations and Passenger Facilitation Measures.

The following has been stated namely: -

• The Ministry announced that domestic air travel operations are swiftly returning to normal after recent disruptions, with all airlines operating at full capacity and IndiGo notably increasing flights from 706 on December 5 to 1,565 on December 6, 2025.

• To prevent fare gouging following flight cancellations and heightened demand, the Ministry imposed an immediate cap on airfares, and fares across impacted routes have since moderated.

• The government directed IndiGo to complete all pending refunds for cancelled or severely delayed flights by 8:00 PM on the same day — around ₹610 crore in refunds processed so far — and prohibited any extra charges for re-scheduling.

• Travel disruptions also disrupted baggage delivery; the Ministry required that all delayed baggage be traced and delivered within 48 hours, leading to delivery of approximately 3,000 separated baggage items nationwide as of the update.

• The Ministry further emphasized continuous real-time monitoring via a 24×7 control room to oversee flight operations, airport logistics, passenger facilitation and grievances, reaffirming its commitment to passenger rights, safety, and smooth return to normalcy.
