Secretarial ComplianceThe Central Depository Services (India) Limited (CDSL) on December 08, 2025, notified regarding the Non-Charging of AMC in Demat Accounts consisting of Illiquid, suspended, or Delisted Securities.

The following has been stated namely: -

• Depository Participants (DPs) have been provided a list of Beneficial Owner (BO) demat accounts marked as “To be Closed”, which hold only illiquid, suspended, or delisted securities and therefore should not be charged Annual Maintenance Charges (AMC). 

• The list has been shared DP-wise and placed in the respective billing folders under the file name format “BLNG<<DP ID>>NO_AMC_ISINS_08122025.tar”; if no such accounts exist, no file will be available. 

• DPs have been reminded to ensure compliance and refrain from levying AMC on these BO accounts as per earlier instructions issued on September 30, 2025.
