The National Medical Commission (NMC) on December 04, 2025, seeks Affidavit & E-Bank Guarantee from Medical colleges/Institutions which have got LOP for starting/increase of PG Seats for AY 2025-26.
The Medical Assessment and Rating Board (MARB) refers to its earlier Public Notice dated 18 September 2024 regarding applications for starting new postgraduate medical courses, establishing standalone PG institutions, and increasing seats in existing PG programmes for the Academic Year 2025–26. The original notice required private medical institutions to submit a bank guarantee and government institutions to submit an undertaking within seven working days of the issuance of the Letter of Intent (LOI).
MARB has now directed that all private medical colleges must submit an e-Bank Guarantee of the applicable amount within seven days of the issuance of the Letter of Permission (LOP), instead of the LOI. Additionally, both government and private medical colleges are required to submit the prescribed Undertaking within seven working days of receiving the LOP.
