The Government of Chandigarh, on December 06, 2025, notified regarding the UIDAI RO Chandigarh Makes New Aadhaar Seva Kendra Operational.
The following has been stated namely:-
• The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) Regional Office, Chandigarh, with continuous support and guidance from the E&U Division, has successfully operationalized a new Aadhaar Seva Kendra (ASK) in Chandigarh. Notably, the Centre has become fully functional from 05.12.2025, which is 10 days ahead of the committed timeline—marking a significant achievement in service delivery readiness.
• The new Aadhaar Seva Kendra was inaugurated by Sh. Jagdish Kumar, Director, UIDAI, in the presence of Sh. Tejinder Pal Singh, Deputy Director, UIDAI. Their leadership and commitment continue to strengthen efficient and citizen-friendly Aadhaar services across the region.
• Equipped with modern facilities and enhanced operational capacity, the new ASK will offer seamless Aadhaar enrolment and update services for residents of Chandigarh and neighbouring areas. The centre is expected to improve accessibility, reduce waiting time, and provide a smoother service experience to citizens.
• UIDAI RO Chandigarh extends heartfelt appreciation to service provider BLS International for their outstanding efforts, timely coordination, and dedication in executing the project ahead of schedule. Their proactive approach has been instrumental in achieving this milestone.
