The Central Government, on December 05, 2025, issued the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Amendment Bill, 2024, to further amend the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013.
The following amendments have been stated:-
• In section 4, sub-section (2), in clause (c), after the existing proviso, the following new proviso shall be inserted, namely:— “Provided further that wherever applicable, at least one of the members shall be a woman belonging to the Scheduled Castes or the Scheduled Tribes or the Other Backward Classes or a minority community as notified by the Central Government, from time to time.”
• In section 4, sub-section (5), after clause (d), the following new clause shall be inserted, namely:- “(e) has been accused by the aggrieved woman of loss of trust and lack of confidence at any point of time during an inquiry,”
