The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), on December 09, 2025, issued the date of the establishment and the date of withdrawal of Indian standards particulars relating to Hosiery Textiles.
In the following Indian Standards particulars, the dates of establishment shall be November 28, 2025:-
• IS 3596 : 2025 - Textiles — Glossary of Terms Relating to Hosiery (First Revision)
• IS 6124 : 2025 - Textiles — Crimp in Wool Fibres — Methods of Test (First Revision)
• IS 7703 (Part 3) : 2025 - Textiles — Man-Made Fibres Continuous Filament Flat Yarn — Method of Test Part 3 Commercial Mass (Second Revision)
• IS 19373 : 2025 - Textiles — Single Jersey Cotton Synthetic and Blended Women’s Stockings — Specification.
In the following Indian Standards particulars, the date of withdrawal shall be May 28, 2026: -
• IS 3596 - 1967 - Glossary of Terms Relating to Hosiery
• IS 6124 - 1971 - Method for Determination of Crimp in Wool
• IS 7703 ( Part 3 ) : 1991 - Methods of Test for Man-Made Fibre Continuous Filament Flat Yarn
• Part 3 Commercial Mass ( First Revision )
