The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) on December 11, 2025, issued a notification regarding the amendment of the Customs Tariff Value.
The following has been stated: -
•The CBIC has issued amendments to Notification No. 36/2001-Customs (N.T.) by substituting revised Tables 1–3 under Section 14(2) of the Customs Act, 1962.
•Tariff values for palm oils, soya bean oil, brass scrap, gold, silver, and areca nuts have been updated, with most values remaining unchanged.
•Gold and silver tariff values continue as per earlier notifications, linked to Notification No. 45/2025-Customs.
This notification shall come into force with effect from December 12, 2025.
