The Department of Agriculture, Govt. of Goa on November 27, 2025, issued the amendment to the State Sector Scheme 'Kera Suraksha Insurance' Scheme.
The following has been stated namely: -
• The amendment further strengthens the social security coverage for workers engaged in coconut cultivation and allied activities. The amendments streamline the operational framework, clarify eligibility conditions, and improve the benefit delivery mechanism to ensure the timely settlement of claims.
• The scheme continues to provide insurance coverage against accidental death and disability, with enhanced administrative clarity for implementing agencies.
• These changes aim to improve accessibility, transparency, and effective implementation of the scheme across the State.
