Industry Specific Compliance The Rajya Sabha on December 05, 2025, introduced the National Food Security (Amendment) Bill, 2024, to further amend the National Food Security Act, 2013.

The following has been stated namely: -

• Section 2 which states Definitions, clause (5) which states “Foodgrains” has been substituted to state namely: -

“millets, rice, wheat or coarse grains or any combination thereof conforming to such quality norms as may be determined, by order, by the Central Government from time to time.”
