Industry Specific ComplianceThe Andhra Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission (APERC) on December 04, 2025, issued the Second Amendment to the Andhra Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission (Terms and Conditions of Open Access) Regulation, 2005.

The following has been amended, namely: -

• It states that the following text shall be added as a separate Para at the end of the existing Para in Clause 9.2: "Provided that the grant of grid connectivity for such Clean Energy Projects and for such operative period as mentioned in G.O. Ms. No. 37, dated 30.10.2024, shall be based on the progress and recommendation of the State Nodal Agency and shall be subject to compliance with the applicable regulations/guidelines/procedures issued/approved by the Commission for the grant of grid connectivity."

• Clause 19.4 “Energy and Demand Balancing” shall be substituted. It limits Open Access drawal or injection to the lower of sanctioned Open Access capacity, CMD, line capacity, or transfer capacity, as technically determined by the transmission/distribution licensee. Different limits apply to Open Access consumers, scheduled consumers, and generators, with metering infrastructure required to be suitably rated and excess drawal/injection treated as inadvertent energy under applicable regulations. Any Open Access beyond CMD or requiring network augmentation must be borne by the Open Access user, including costs for system strengthening and metering upgrades.

This shall take effect from December 8, 2025.
