The Mayang Imphal Municipal Council (MIMC), on December 04, 2025, issued a notification proposing the adoption of the Model Manipur Unified Building Bye-Laws, 2024 as the Mayang Imphal Municipal Council Building Bye-Laws, 2025, pursuant to Resolution No. 6 passed in the Council Meeting held on December 01, 2025. The proposal has been made in exercise of powers conferred under Sections 211(1) and 212 of the Manipur Municipalities Act, 1994, with effect from the date of publication in the Official Gazette of Manipur.
The notification invites objections or suggestions from the general public on the proposed adoption of the Unified Building Bye-Laws. Such objections or suggestions are required to be submitted to the Senior Chief Executive Officer, Mayang Imphal Municipal Council, within seven days from the date of notification, with a clear stipulation that representations received after the stipulated period shall not be entertained.
For public awareness and transparency, copies of the proposed Mayang Imphal Municipal Council Building Bye-Laws, 2025 have been made available for inspection at the office of the Municipal Council during working hours and are also accessible on the official website of the Town Planning Department, Manipur, enabling stakeholders to review the provisions in detail before submitting their views.
